This 90% Platinum, 10% Iridium Wire is the most commonly preferred material for making C. elegans "worm picks".  It is somewhat stiffer and less fragile than pure platinum wire.  It also works fine as electrode material for gel boxes and other electrophoresis chambers.  3 ft. per unit; 0.010 inches in diameter.
