Chronic Micromanipulator

MO-901:  $508.11 - Discontinued

The Model MO-901 is mounted on the skull of a medium-sized animal such as monkeys to perform chronic experiments. Despite its miniaturized drive unit, the MO-901 provides the working distance of 16mm and has significantly reduced its weight to lighten the burden and stress on the animal.

Its open-type stage permits visual observation of the microelectrode insertion while operating its control knob, and also permits the use of microelectrodes of various types. With the detachable/attachable drive unit fixed on the skull mount chamber, even if the animal head moves, the microelectrode can be held in position.

*Used in combination with a separately available Model MO-902, the MO-901 permits multi-channel recordings.
*Used in conjunction with a pulse motor microdrive, this system permits even more accurate operation.
