Narishige's ME-7 is a large, sturdy, easy-to-operate micromanipulator. This is a large, sturdy micromanipulator for stereotaxic instruments and has been developed mainly for use with the SN-2N/3N. The manipulator body is fixed to a thick pole, which is in turn fixed to the solid base, providing an overall structure that is large yet rigid.
A fine movement unit is equipped for each axis, allowing precise three-dimensional adjustment. To make operation easy, a large, drum-type handle is mounted for control of the Z-axis, which is the most important. The Z-axis fine drive section is also equipped with an angle change arch to allow approach from any angle. As a result, this large and stable micromanipulator can approach from angles which are impossible with micromanipulators attached to the AP frame bar.
