Tube Racks
|
Keep your samples in line with Tritech Research's tube racks! We have many sizes and styles available to fit your needs. Polypropylene Microcentrifuge Tube Trays Our Microcentrifuge Tube trays are manufactured of polypropylene, and suitable for autoclaving as well as freezing. Available in white, or 13 bright colors, for color-coding specific projects or identifying hazardous samples. The trays also feature frosted writing areas and numbered well markings for easy sample identification. Also Available: Keep your samples secure with covers for both our rack sizes! Our rack covers are made from clear polypropylene, snap easily onto the tube racks and feature an indented area that allows for stable stacking. They are also autoclave- and freezer-safe, and are designed to accomodate for the extra height of the screw caps. Super Polyester Foam Tube Racks Never worry about knocking over a rack of tubes and having your precious samples scatter all over the floor. Here is a great and economical way to hold your tubes during an experiment and to store them afterward. Racks are made of die-cut top quality polyester foam, so they are resistant to solvents and last for years. There are four models to choose from, each with a different hole size. The racks grab your tubes snugly so they won't fall out even if you turn the whole thing up-side-down or drop it!

Petri Dishes

Click HERE if you are interested in purchasing a small quantity of Petri dishes and/or growth media (from a few cases to a few dishes) and would like to order online and use a credit card or PayPal account.  This is where to go for supplies for Science Fair projects!
There are a few different features to choose from when selecting the best dish for your application.  First and foremost is choosing the best size for the job.  In case the exact size is critical, you need to know that Petri Dishes are described by their "nominal" size.  For example, 100mm dishes are not really 100mm, and it depends on where you measure... inside the base will be the minimum dimension and outside the lid will be the maximum.  A link above takes you to a table with some of our actual dish dimensions.  Some of our dish models are available in both "vented" and "non-vented" styles.  Standard Petri Dishes are always vented, so if the don't say vented or non-vented, you should assume they are vented.  "Vented" means that the lid is slightly elevated above the base.  This allows for good, plentiful air exchange.  This is useful when you want to encourage evaporation, for example, when you want to use poured plates as soon as possible, and the plates themselves, or a liquid seeding solution, needs to dry beforehand.  The basic design of the dish tends to maintain sterility because particles would have to go up and over the dish's wall to get inside, and this is rare in normal airflow.  With "non-vented" dishes, the lid fits quite flatly on the base.  While it is not a hermetic seal, the space between dish and lid is extremely small.  This results in even less potential for external contamination and a significantly reduced evaporation rate.  For example a 60mm vented Petri Dish containing 10ml of agar medium typically dries out in 2-3 weeks; whereas, a similar 60mm non-vented dish typically lasts 2-3 months.  Most C. elegans labs, except those in very humid climates, prefer the non-vented dishes.  Non-vented dishes provide sufficient air exchange for the worms to breath while greatly increasing the life of the dish.

Tissue Culture Dishes
|
Beneficial Features of the TPP Tissue Culture Petri Dishes:- Every batch tested for cell growth characteristics.
- Outstanding flatness and optical clarity for microscopic examination.
- Unique serrated edge on bottom dish makes handling safe and easy.
- Double writing surface.
- Numeric scale in lid divides viewing area into quadrants to aid in examination.
- Dishes are packaged in easy ""peel-off"" wrapping.
- Guaranteed sterile by gamma irradiation.
Innovative features and outstanding cell growth properties make the TPP Tissue Culture Petri Dishes the ideal choice for adherent cell culture in research and industry. These optically clear, high-grade polystyrene dishes are tissue culture treated only on the base of the dish with a non-treated ring surrounding the growing surface to prevent cell attachment on the edge. A serrated ring around the bottom dish makes pick-up and handling of the dishes safe and easy, while also minimizing the risk of dish droppage due to lid/base disassembly. A special stacking ring, with spaces for a numeric scale (12,3,6,9) set on the periphery, allows for safe and stable stacking of the dishes. The numeric scale serves to ease locating areas of examination while the spaces they create in the stacking ring reduce condensation between stacked dishes and prevent the dishes from sticking together. Two marking areas, located on the top dish wall (yellow) and the bottom dish wall (frosted), act as as a reference for top/bottom alignment and orientation. There are also six special 'stops' built into the lid which facilitate optimal gas exchange during incubation.

Tissue Culture Flasks
|
Beneficial Features of the TPP Vented & Filtered Cap Flasks:
- Unique body shape with a wider neck allows easy cell retrieval and absolutely NO dead corners.
- White-printed graduations are easy to read and include marking area.
- Impeccable optical clarity for microscope observation.
- Safe, stable stacking of flasks.
- Flasks are made from high-grade, low-toxin polystyrene.
- Screw caps are made from polyethylene.
- Flasks are packaged in easy ""peel-off"" wrapping and each bag has a protective barrier to prevent scratching.
- Package contents are guaranteed sterile by gamma irradiation.
- Flasks are individually leak tested and each batch is quality controlled for sterility and cell growth.
Our new range of flasks, available with filtered or vented caps, is the result of intensive cooperation between user experts and top development specialists. Great importance has been attached to the tissue culture properties of the flask, the accessibility of the flask's interior, and the cap closure. TC Properties: The most important requirement of a tissue culture flask is an even surface refinement in the growth zone. This inside surface treatment by TPP provides an optimal growth surface on the flask base for the most varied matrix-dependent tissue cultures. The untreated side and top inside surfaces reduce the amount of cell loss during the separation phases, because undesired tissue adhesion outside the growth zone is diminished. Accessibility: The flask's innovative shape is of such a design that devices inserted through the flask's neck have optimal access to the entire base surface. This means that there are no ""dead"" corners that cannot be reached with pipettes or cell scrapers. This excellent accessibility is due to the large neck opening and the favorable angle of inclination. The angled neck also reduces the chance of accidental spills and permits ""dribble-free"" pouring. Vented Caps: When the vented screw cap is tightened to the end position, the closed flask is liquid and gas tight. By simply unscrewing the cap one quarter of a turn, the flask is in the ""VENT"" position, with the inside of the flask being aerated through a defined gap opening. This guarantees that the gas exchange with the environment and the possible risk of contamination are kept to a minimum. In addition, the special flat thread profile of the caps stops excess tightening and thus allows the caps to be re-used multiple times. Filtered Caps: The TPP filter cap has a welded membrane in the cap cavity to offer free gas exchange without gas flow alteration. For optimal flask breathing, all membranes are proportionally dimensioned to each cap size. The microporous hydrophobic membrane (cytotoxic free) itself is constructed of 2 layers of membrane material based on a white acrylic copolymer over nylon support. With an airflow rate of 4.5 (LPM/3.7cm2/13.5psi), the gas exchange properties of the filtered flasks are comparable to that of the standard cap flasks. The New 300cm2 Flask Offers The Largest TC Growth Surface Available!

Tissue Culture Plates
|
Beneficial Features of the TPP Tissue Culture Plates: - Designed for easy and stable stacking. Different well plates can be mixed and stacked.
- Plates are constructed from high grade polystyrene.
- Individual well rings in lid prevent cross-contamination.
- Easy-to-read alpha-numeric well identification.
- Yellow marking areas on both base and lid.
- Plates are packaged in easy transparent Ïpeel-offÓ wrapping.
- Available individually wrapped or 4/6 plates per bag.
- Guaranteed sterile by gamma irradiation.
The new generation of Tissue Culture Plates from TPP is characterized by yellow strip marking areas and easy-to-read black-embossed, alpha-numeric writing. The cell growth surface treatment is limited to the well bottoms and offers optimal attachment and growth for the most varied types of cell lines. The untreated well walls also lead to a flattening of the liquid meniscus that forms, thereby reducing the diffusion of the light. This feature, along with the outstanding optical clarity of the well bottoms, makes these plates ideal for microscopic examination and spectroscopic measurements. Serrated areas on the sides of the plate and a slight excess in lid width make these plates easy to pick-up and facilitate lid removal. The lid itself is irreversible due to a shaped corner on the lid and plate. These special handling features also serve to prevent ""sticking"" caused by condensation when the plates are stacked. A unique air-extraction, ventilation feature on the plate and lid maximizes external/internal gas exchange and considerably reduces media evaporation without altering the CO2 diffusion. The rings on the lid prevent cross-contamination from displacement of the individual well condensates. Note: In addition to the top-quality surface-treated cell and tissue culture plates described above, we also offer low-cost untreated multi-well plates. The untreated plates have no special markings or writing surfaces, and no surface treatment for cell attachment. However, they are supplied as sterile multi-well plate plus lid. These are well suited for applications in which samples will remain in suspension or where the wells will be filled with agar media (for example C. elegans culture and screening).
