Narishige's IP-1 is a simple steel plate. It is designed to be a suitable size and weight for mounting a magnetic stand. The IP-1 has been replaced by a painted version of the same plate. See the IP.

(approx. 1/4" (0.236") x 7.87" x 9.84" at 5 pounds)
