The Narishige TAKANOME MTK-1 4-axis Hanging Joystick Oil Hydraulic Micromanipulator system is a next generation state-of-the-art micromanipulator for laboratory microinjection experiments and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) procedures. In Japanese, TAKANOME is a metaphor equating this system with a hawk setting its sight on its prey and swooping down precisely, which is exactly what the MTK-1 does. Utilizing improved technology to create elegant simplicity, this advanced system has been especially developed to improve the efficiency of transgenic experiments, IVF, and all procedures involving microinjection of cell suspension cultures.
With a large retraction range of 50mm, the MTK-1 fulfills multiple functions a in single unit, eliminating the need for a separate coarse manipulator. Additionally, this robust micromanipulator includes a innovative design that allows the user to change the pipette angle while keeping the needle tip in the center of the field of view, making angle adjustment a breeze! You can easily switch the pipette from its "home" position to its "working" position, resulting in a significant reduction in the probability of pipette breakage and you will save time by not having to re-position your injection holder each time you change pipettes. Motor-drive Manipulator

This motor-drive coarse manipulator is used to position a pipette within the microscope's field of view, where it can then be micromanipulated more precisely with a fine hydraulic micromanipulator such as the MMO-4. It is controlled remotely using the electronic joystick. The Z-axis moves at double the speed of X/Y-axis, to facilitate changing samples rapidly. The MM-94 includes the drive unit for right-sided use, the joystick controller, and a dual control unit / power supply.
* The MM-94 is the model for right-sided use, while the MM-94B is for left-sided use.
For a full setup, with manipulation on both sides, you can add the MM-94B, and the two units can share the same control unit / power supply that comes with the MM-94.
For a smaller footprint on your microscope table, the MM-94 control box can be held vertically with the use of the control box stand ( PS-1). Motor-drive Manipulator (Add On)

MM-94B is an add-on type manipulator for left-side use of the MM-94, and it can be used sharing the same control unit of MM-94. Adding the MM-94B to your MM-94 setup will enable motor drive operation on both sides.
 Since the MM-94B does not include the control unit, MM-94 is required to use MM-94B.
